The 2013 exhibition series started in January with an architecture exhibition by Martina Günther and Jan Schabert that examined three South Korean housing typologies as symbols of South Korean culture and society in models, plans, talks and discussions simultaneously to "Bau 2013". In February, Prof. Xuyen Dam’s design students of Hochschule München showed their final works during this year’s "Munich Creative Business Week". The two-day exhibition was accompanied by talks on young designers' starts into the professional world. In line with the annual jewellery days, the International Design Museum at Pinakothek der Moderne in March shows Prof. Otto Künzli’s works in a solo exhibition. Straight after the opening of the exhibition, Prof. Künzli’s jewellery students of Akademie der Bildenden Künste invited the entire jewellery world to a get-together at MaximiliansForum. In March, too, Roland Burkart showed his piece "White Architecture Nr. 1", a wall out of white light, which was completed by an artist’s book and a staged reading. In April, Kunstclub13 celebrated their ten-year jubilee at MaximiliansForum - in line with which a room-filling installation by Frank Balve was shown. Afterwards, MaximiliansForum turned into an important venue for the Kino der Kunst festival, exhibiting an installation by Julian Rosefeldt during the festival days. During the summer months June and July, a manifold and lively events and exhibitions programme takes place every Wednesday which was developed in co-operation with various Munich and internationally based protagonists working in architecture, design, fashion and jewellery. Topics relating to change and transformation are discussed which also characterise MaximiliansForum as an arts space.

Every Wednesday on 7pm from 12 June to 24 July 2013, MaximiliansForum hosts a series of discussions, presentations, workshops and talks about the cultural relevance of the applied arts and current changes, transformations, alterations that also characterise MaximiliansForum as a passage and public space. The protagonists of the various events are designers, scholars, architects, musicians, fashion people. The Munich based product designer Steffen Kehrle has created an alterable seating sculpture in a puristic room installation in which the programme takes place.
